Eviston House Hotel

Room was pricey but was clean albeit small and facing the window of another room on the inside of the hotel so no breeze available if you open a window when it's hot. That being said... if it's busy in Kilarney, I wouldn't want a street facing room either as it can get loud out there. Some Aircon would be good. Bathrooms well equipped. The fitness suite seems to be non-existant at the moment. The beds are comfortable but the sounds from the hallway come into the room as though there is no door closed at all. Food is excellent at the bar. Pints of Guinness were absolutely dreadful here. I stayed for a weekend and I tried one on the Sat, Sun and Mon to see if there was any difference... None. Go to Hussys for a very decent pint of Guinness in Kilarney. Breakfast is fine but I had to remind the server twice that I ordered a pot of coffee on two occasions. Reception staff are very attentive and warm. Most evenings on the wknd I stayed had live music. All staff seemed very nice. Would I stay again? Sure. It's central and comfortable.

Nice hotel, service and staff very friendly. Based right in the heart of the town. But the trade off is that it can be quite noisy until around midnight. Social bar downstairs reasonably priced. Room was a little dated with wear and tear. Clean though and beds comfy. No WiFi that I know of though. Would recommend for a staying a few nights as a base for sure.
