Conrad Athens The Ilisian

I would have given this hotel a 6 star if there’s such an option! We were blown away by the standard of services we have received here. We were given early check in by a few hours. While the room was getting ready, we were having lunch at the bar next to the lobby. The front desk Olga walked all the way to the bar to drop off the room keys! We have spa appointments booked at 2pm, but bar restaurant was too slow with our food. In order for us to not be late for our appointments, they accommodated a change of time to 2:30pm on the spot! The spa facilities included two saunas, a steam room and a cold plunge, all complementary! Poolside cabanas were included. We are here for our anniversary trip, and once they heard that, they sent in prosecco and fruits and even a chocolate cake into the room! We’ve travelled to many places, but services at this level often come with many extra price tags, but here it’s all included in the hotel price. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We will always be coming back to here whenever we are back in Athens!

The Ilisian is a masterpiece of thoughtful luxury. Every detail feels curated, from the elegant blend of 1970s design, Art Deco influences, and contemporary style, to the beautiful artwork, books, flowers, and carefully selected pieces that make the hotel feel more like a sophisticated private residence than a traditional hotel. The experience continues outside with one of the largest hotel pool landscapes in Athens, beautiful gardens, an exceptional spa, and the stunning Onuki Japanese restaurant. Every space feels chic, elegant, and considered. A rare hotel where architecture, design, service, and atmosphere come together perfectly. One of my new favourite hotels anywhere in the world. Thank you to the wonderful staff at this truly amazing hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived, the service at Conrad Athens exceeded every expectation. Our flight to Milos was cancelled due to severe weather, leaving us in a stressful situation. The team at the hotel immediately stepped in and took care of everything. They arranged our accommodation without hesitation and, to make a difficult day a little easier, surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. That gesture meant far more than they probably realize. The staff are genuinely warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Every interaction felt sincere, and you can tell they truly care about their guests. The hotel itself is immaculate, beautifully designed, and every detail is exactly as it should be. The rooms are luxurious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. I’ve stayed in many high-end hotels, but what sets Conrad Athens apart isn’t just the luxury—it’s the people. They turned what could have been a ruined day into a memorable experience. If you’re visiting Athens and want outstanding service, beautiful rooms, and a team that goes above and beyond, don’t even think twice. Book the Conrad. You won’t regret it.
