We land at 10.00 local time and start our city tour straight from the airport in our waiting vehicle.
The tour takes in Habib Bourguiba Avenue, often called the Champs-Élysées of Tunis, Independence Square, the Clock Tower that has become the city's symbol, and St. Vincent de Paul Cathedral, the largest surviving building of the colonial era. Next is Carthage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded by the Phoenicians and for a time one of the Roman Empire's centres in Africa. After a lunch break we continue to Sidi Bou Said, the "pearl of Tunisia", a charming village of cobbled lanes and blue and white houses, where we stop for photos with views over the Mediterranean.
Our last stop is the Bardo Museum, one of the most important museums of the Mediterranean region. Alongside a rich collection of marble statues of Roman gods and emperors, it holds the largest collection of Roman mosaics in the world. After the tour we transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in the Hammamet area.

In El Djem we see the remains of the largest colosseum in North Africa, which at the height of the region's prosperity filled with 35.000 spectators for gladiator fights. We continue to Sousse, the country's 3rd largest city and one of its tourist centres, known for its views, the maze of markets in its medina and its city walls, and stop there for lunch. We then return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in the Hammamet area.
