Portugal, Spain and Andalusia Tour

We meet at the international departures terminal of Ankara Esenboğa Airport three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Barcelona on an AJET Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, we board our private bus waiting at the airport and begin our city tour. In Barcelona, the largest city and capital of the autonomous region of Catalonia, we see various architectural works. Our panoramic tour includes Montjuic Hill, Barcelona Port, the Christopher Columbus Statue, Colon Square, İspanya Square, Catalunya Square and La Rambla Street. After checking in at the hotel, we have free time to rest. We spend the night at our hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for a full-day Barcelona city tour. First, we explore the Gothic Quarter, whose narrow streets, cathedrals and hidden squares reflect its medieval character, observing the area's historic buildings and daily life. We then walk along La Rambla Street, lined with shops, cafés and street performers. Our tour continues through Old Barcelona, where we see historic squares, architectural details and local life. Next, we take in a panoramic view of the exterior of Sagrada Familia Basilica, a work by Gaudí and a symbol of the city. From the afternoon until the evening, you have free time to shop, try local food and pursue your own activities. We then meet at the place and time specified by our guide and return to our hotel.

After breakfast, we depart from Barcelona for Valencia. Upon arrival, we take a city tour to see the city's main landmarks. Located on Spain's east coast, Valencia has large squares such as Plaza del Ayuntamiento, historic buildings and shopping streets. Valencia Cathedral is known for its history and Gothic architecture. The El Miguelete Bell Tower offers views of the city. The city centre has cafés and restaurants and hosts various cultural events. After the city tour, we have free time. We then meet at the time set by our guide and head to our hotel. After check-in, we have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we leave the hotel and set off for Granada. On arrival, we begin a panoramic city tour. Located in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, Granada is known for its historic buildings and cultural diversity. Plaza Nueva, in the city centre, is a lively square surrounded by historic buildings. Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel are also among the centre's important landmarks. The tombs of Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand, the Catholic Monarchs, are here. The centre also has tapas bars, restaurants and shopping opportunities. After the city tour, we head to Alhambra Palace, one of Andalusia's important landmarks. Set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and overlooking Granada, our palace tour begins with an exterior view of the Alcazaba. This fortress section of the palace was built for defence and is notable for its walls and towers. We then visit the Generalife Gardens, right next to the palace. With pools, flower-filled courtyards and green spaces, the gardens were used by the sultans of Andalusia for rest and recreation. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Granada. Free time follows.

After breakfast, we depart for Seville. Our first stop is Cordoba, where we explore traces of Andalusian history as we walk through the old town streets and along the Roman Bridge. During the walk, we discover the city’s historic character and see one of its landmarks, the Mosque of Cordoba. After our visit to Cordoba, we continue to Seville. On arrival, we take a panoramic tour of the city on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, seeing Spain Square, the tobacco factory, the Tower of Gold and the Jewish Quarter. We end the city tour with free time in front of Seville Cathedral. We then transfer to our hotel in Seville. Free time after arrival at the hotel.

After breakfast, we depart for Lisbon, Portugal’s capital and largest city. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour of Lisbon, situated on the estuary of the Tejo River. During the panoramic tour, we see Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Rossio, Restauradores and Marques de Pombal Square at the end of Liberdade Avenue, which is lined with boutiques. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Lisbon. Free time follows.

After breakfast, we depart for Porto. Along the way, we see Sintra, Estoril and Cabo de Roca. At our first stop, Sintra, we have free time to explore the narrow pedestrian streets of the town centre and have lunch. In the afternoon, we head to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. Upon arrival in Porto, we begin our city tour. During the tour, we see the historic buildings of the Ribeira district overlooking the Douro River, Porto Cathedral, Sao Francisco Church, Sao Bento railway station, Ponte d Lous I Bridge and the Douro River. After the tour, we head to our hotel in Porto and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and depart for Salamanca. Known as the Golden City, Salamanca is a Spanish city on the UNESCO World Heritage List. During our tour, we see the Baroque Plaza Mayor, considered the city’s centre, and take a look at the historic facade of the University of Salamanca, one of Europe’s oldest universities. We explore the city with an exterior visit to the adjoining Old and New Cathedrals. After our tour of Salamanca, we continue towards Madrid, the capital of Spain. We arrive in Madrid in the evening and check in to our hotel.

After breakfast, we depart for Toledo. We explore its narrow streets, cathedral and architecture that has survived from the Middle Ages to the present day. After time set aside for photo stops, shopping, sampling local food and personal activities, we complete our panoramic tour. Following our visit to Toledo, we continue our journey to Madrid, the capital of Spain. First, we visit Plaza Mayor, known for its architecture and historic character. We then spend time in Puerta del Sol, one of the city's lively areas, observing Madrid's social and cultural life. Here, we see areas where the city's historic character and modern life coexist. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Madrid, where free time begins.

After breakfast, we meet at the place and time specified by our guide and transfer to Madrid Airport. We fly to Ankara on a scheduled AJET flight. Our tour and services end upon arrival at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. We hope to see you again on another tour.
