Morocco Tour

We meet at the international departures terminal of Esenboğa Airport three hours before the flight. After completing baggage drop, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Istanbul on a scheduled Pegasus Airlines flight. We connect at Sabiha Gökçen Airport and depart for Casablanca. Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, we take the private bus waiting for us to our hotel in Casablanca. After the transfer to the hotel, we have free time to rest. We spend the night at our hotel.

After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. We begin our city tour in Rabat, which lies on the banks of the Bou Regreg River and is surrounded by eucalyptus and Portuguese cork oak forests. After visiting Kasbah Oudaya, Hasan Tower and the Mausoleum of Muhammed the 5th, we set off for Fes. Upon arrival in Fes, we begin the Former Capital Fes & Medina Tour. First, we walk around Bab-el Makhzen, the monumental gate of the royal palace, and Mellah, the surrounding historic Jewish quarter. We then continue to the Medina, home to the city’s historical and cultural sites. During the tour, we see Attarine Madrasa, Karaouine University and Nejarine Square. We also explore the markets selling traditional Moroccan jewellery and copperware, workshops where traditional ceramic craftsmanship continues, and tanneries near the Fes River where leather is processed using traditional methods. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Following free time to rest, dinner and an overnight stay are at our hotel in Fes.

After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Marrakesh. Upon arrival, we take a panoramic city tour, seeing the Koutubia Minaret, one of the city's landmarks, and Jmaa el Fna Square, where different cultures of Africa come together. The square stays lively throughout the day with street performances, snake charmers and open-air restaurants. After the panoramic city tour, we continue with a tour of the Marrakesh Medina. In the busy streets of the historic Medina, we get to know Moroccan culture and learn about argan oil and spices, key products of the region. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Marrakesh. There is free time to rest. Dinner and overnight accommodation are at our hotel.

After breakfast at our hotel, we set off on the Following the Argan Trees: Essaouira & Atlantic Ocean tour. Travelling through areas of Morocco where argan trees grow in abundance, we visit our first stop, the Argan Oil Cooperative. Here, we learn about products made from the argan tree and traditional methods of producing argan oil. We then arrive in Essaouira on the Atlantic Ocean coast. With traces of an old Portuguese settlement, the city recalls the Bodrum of earlier days with its historic character and harbour. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Essaouira is known for its fishing harbour, art galleries, cultural character and beach. The city has served as a filming location for many productions, including Orson Welles’s Othello and the series Game of Thrones. Among the places we will see are the city fortress, the fishing harbour and the Medina, built with inspiration from ancient Roman cities. You can walk through the narrow, maze-like streets and shop in traditional stores. After the tour, we return to Marakeş and transfer to our hotel. We have free time to rest. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel in Marakeş.

After breakfast at our hotel and checking out of our rooms, we set off for the Majorelle Gardens Tour, Yves Saint Laurent’s Mysterious Treasure. The Majorelle Gardens we will visit in Marakeş were created by French painter and furniture designer Jacques Majorelle. The gardens were later restored by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, giving them their present appearance. We explore the gardens, one of Marakeş’s landmarks, known for their plants and distinctive architecture. After our visit, we depart for Casablanca. One of Morocco’s major cities, Casablanca hosted important meetings and extensive espionage activities during World War II. The city is also known for the film Casablanca, which brought its name to audiences around the world. We take a panoramic city tour of this industrial city, now home to one of the major ports in Africa and Morocco. Sights along the route include Muhammed V. Square, Rick’s Cafe, inspired by the film Casablanca, Hasan II Mosque, Anfa and Zerktouni boulevards, and the Corniche waterfront. After the city tour, we go to a local restaurant for dinner. After dinner, we transfer to Casablanca Airport at the time announced by our guide.

After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Istanbul on a scheduled Pegasus Airlines flight. Upon arrival at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, we transfer to our flight to Ankara. Our tour ends upon arrival in Ankara. We hope to see you on another tour.
