Italy Adventure Tour

We meet at Ankara Airport’s international departures terminal three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Bergamo on a Corendon Airlines charter flight. On arrival, we board the private coach waiting for us at the airport and travel to Lake Garda. We take a short break at Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. We then depart for Venice at the time specified by our guide. On arrival in Venice, we transfer to our hotel. You have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart for a panoramic city tour. Sights on the tour include San Marco Square and Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower and Clock Tower, and Giorgio Maggiore Church. Guests who wish may join the optional Grand Canal Tour (55€), arranged by our guide at an extra charge. This tour, the only opportunity to see Venice from every angle, follows the canal that serves as the city’s main transport route. Renaissance palaces line its banks. After the tour, we depart for Bologna. On arrival, we begin a panoramic city tour of Bologna. Sights on the tour include the Fountain of Neptune, Piazza Maggiore (Great Square), the Old Stock Exchange Building, Europe’s first university building, Quadrilatero (old market), and the Garisenda and Asinelli Towers. After visiting Bologna, we set off for Florence. On arrival in Florence, we transfer to our hotel, followed by free time to rest.

After breakfast in Florence, you will have free time throughout the day. Guests who wish may join the optional Portofino-Pisa Tour (125€), arranged by our guide at an extra charge. The first stop on the tour will be Portofino, one of the coastal towns on the Italian Riviera. Visited by artists, film stars and travellers from around the world, the town is known for its pastel-coloured houses, harbour with moored boats and views of the Gulf of Genoa. Here, you can walk through narrow streets, stop for an espresso at the harbour-side cafés and take photographs of the town, which has retained its appearance for centuries. After Portofino, we will travel to Pisa. We will have the opportunity to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, considered one of the seven wonders of the world, up close and take souvenir photographs. We will also see Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), located right next to the tower and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with its cathedral and baptistery. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we begin our panoramic city tour of Florence. As the birthplace and center of development of the Renaissance, Florence holds an important place in the world's cultural heritage. The city saw major developments in art, science and philosophy. Artists and scientists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Brunelleschi worked here with the support of the Medici family. Sights on the tour include the Arno River, which divides Florence in two, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, known for its jewelers, and Palazzo Vecchio. We will also see Piazza Della Signoria Square, home to the Renaissance masterpieces of Hercules and David; Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo), with the 3rd-highest dome in Italy; and the Baptistery, known for its door. After the panoramic city tour of Florence, we depart for Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart for Rome. At our first stop, Termini Central Train Station, we have free time. We then set off with guests who wish to join the optional Rome Monuments Tour (55€). Throughout its history, Rome has been home to emperors, gladiators and works of art. During the tour, we view Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned, from the outside. Built as a mausoleum by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, Castel Sant'Angelo was later converted into a fortress and used as a prison and papal fortress during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Our next stop is the Colosseum. We view this arena, where gladiators and wild animals once fought before spectators, from the outside. We then visit the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), made famous by the film La Dolce Vita, to see the fountain and its statues. Other sights we will see include the Roman Forum, the social, commercial and religious centre of its time, the Temple of Hadrian, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps, which consist of 135 steps and have a fountain shaped like a sunken boat at their base. We then head to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. Upon arrival, we have free time to visit the square.

After breakfast in Rome, you have free time at the hotel until the time set by our guide. Guests who wish may join the optional Lakes District & Outlet Castel Gandolfo/Nemi Tour (75€), offered at an extra charge. We set off on the tour. Castel Gandolfo, which developed around a castle, is known for its stone streets and natural surroundings. Lake Nemi lies near the town, while the Papal Palace stands in its centre. Used by popes as a retreat for centuries, the palace has gardens with flower-lined walking paths. Nemi is famous for its strawberry fields. The town holds a Strawberry Festival every year, with various festivities. After visiting Nemi, we provide free time in Italy's most famous outlet shopping area. Popular with locals and tourists, these shopping centres offer a chance to take a break after exploring Rome's historical and cultural sites and shop for yourself and your loved ones. After our tour, we depart for Bologna. Upon arrival, we transfer you to your hotel and provide free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart from Bologna for Milan. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic tour of Milan. Located in northern Italy, Milan is a centre for fashion, design and business. Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) is one of the city's well-known landmarks and an example of Gothic architecture. It is the world's fifth-largest church and one of Europe's largest Gothic cathedrals. Its white marble exterior is decorated with detailed carvings. The front facade features numerous statues and carvings. The golden Madonnina statue at the top of the cathedral is regarded as the city's patron saint. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, right next to the Duomo, is a shopping arcade known for its glass roof and mosaic floors. The arcade houses luxury brand stores, cafés and restaurants. It has four main entrances, the best known of which faces Piazza del Duomo. The architecture seen from this entrance combines modern engineering with traditional art. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. You have free time to rest for the remainder of the day.

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms. Free time is available until the transfer. We meet at the time announced by our guide and travel to Bergamo Airport by private bus. We fly to Ankara with Corendon Airlines. Our tour ends upon arrival in Ankara.
