Great Britain and Ireland Tour

We meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight to complete our ticket and baggage procedures. Following our scheduled Turkish Airlines flight to London, we arrive at Stansted Airport. We board our waiting private coaches and begin our tour. Rich in history, culture and different lifestyles, London is a dynamic city. We first cross the River Thames and arrive at the historic Tower of London. After seeing this castle, which has played an important role in London’s defence for more than 900 years, we visit Tower Bridge, one of the city’s landmark bridges. Noted for its engineering, the bridge offers views in different directions. We then leave for Saint Paul’s Cathedral, whose large dome can be seen from many parts of the city, and view it from the outside. Rising in central London, the building was constructed by Sir Christopher Wren in the 17th century and retains both its religious and cultural importance today.

After breakfast, we continue exploring London. Our tour begins at Westminster Abbey in central London. After viewing from the outside this historic church, which has hosted the coronations of England’s monarchs since 1066, we proceed to the adjacent Houses of Parliament. Part of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, officially named Elizabeth Tower, is one of London’s best-known landmarks. Our next stop is Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the royal family, which welcomes thousands of visitors every day. From here, a short walk takes us to Trafalgar Square. At the centre of the square stands Nelson’s Column, commemorating England’s victory in the Napoleonic Wars. We then continue our walk along the River Thames. Standing on the riverbank, the London Eye is a giant observation wheel 135 metres high that offers panoramic views of London. After viewing the London Eye, we proceed to London’s Chinatown district. One of the city’s colourful and lively areas, Chinatown is known for its traditional Chinese-style gates, red lanterns and decorations. From here, we continue to nearby Piccadilly Circus.

After breakfast, we depart for Oxford. Known as one of England’s oldest and most prestigious university cities, Oxford stands out for its rich history, architecture and lively cultural environment. Located approximately 90 kilometres west of London, the city combines a peaceful atmosphere with intense intellectual energy. Oxford’s city centre features old stone buildings, narrow streets and tranquil squares. Shops, cafés and restaurants line streets such as High Street, Cornmarket Street and Broad Street, where modern and traditional English styles can be seen together. After visiting the garden areas of the University of Oxford, we depart for Stonehenge. Built approximately 5,000 years ago, Stonehenge dates from the Neolithic period, or New Stone Age, and the Bronze Age. Reflecting an important turning point in human history and the development of settled societies, the monument provides clues about the engineering skills, social order and belief systems of the period. Stonehenge is an ancient monument of great historical, archaeological, astronomical and cultural importance. After our visit, we depart for Bath.

Birmingham – Manchester - Liverpool After breakfast, we depart for Manchester. Manchester is a dynamic city where history and modernity come together. Manchester Cathedral, built with Gothic architecture from the 15th century, The Chetham Library, which offers a distinctive experience with its interiors, Manchester Town Hall with its ornate façade and Albert Square are among the places to see. After our tour, we head to Liverpool. Liverpool is a vibrant and energetic city located in the northwest of England. It stands out not only for its history but also for its music, football and unique character. The Beatles members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were born and raised in Liverpool. The city played a significant role in their musical development and the formation of the band. Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Port (Albert Dock), St. George's Hall and The Beatles Story (Exterior) are among the places to see. After our tour, we head to our hotel, and following check-in procedures, you will have free time to relax.

Liverpool – York – Durham – Newcastle Upon Tyne After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures and head to York. York, which carries traces of many civilizations from the Roman Empire to the Vikings, is known as one of the best-preserved medieval cities in England. This city surrounded by walls is famous for its medieval architecture. You can see these walls while touring the city, and the first thing we'll see in the city is York Minster, one of England's largest cathedrals, from the outside. Among the places we'll see are The Shambles and St Helen Square on York's oldest streets. After the tour, we head to Durham. The moment you set foot in Durham, the peaceful and historical atmosphere of this city situated on the riverbank immediately affects you. The city has developed around the curves of the River Wear. As you walk towards the city center, the views of the calm river on one side and the rising historical structures on the other catch your eye. Durham Cathedral is located in the very heart of the city and is one of the most important historical structures of the city. Durham Cathedral was used in filming some Harry Potter movies.

After breakfast, we complete our checkout procedures and depart for Edinburgh. After our approximately 3-hour journey, we begin exploring Edinburgh. While walking along the Royal Mile, the city's busiest and most dazzling street, you will journey through the depths of history among medieval buildings and narrow streets. The street is lined with numerous boutiques, gift shops, traditional Scottish restaurants and cafés. St Giles Cathedral is situated in the middle of the Royal Mile and is an important part of the city's cultural heritage. Construction of this cathedral began in the 12th century, and it is particularly notable for its Gothic architecture and is known as the center of the Scottish Reformation. Edinburgh Castle, located on the street, is one of Edinburgh's most iconic structures and rises on a high point of the city, on a hill called Castle Rock, which is an ancient volcanic formation. With historical origins dating back to the 12th century, this castle is one of the most important symbols of Scotland's royal past and military history. Following the visit to Edinburgh Castle, we meet at the time set by the guide and then depart for Glasgow.

After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures and depart for Belfast early in the morning. Following our ferry journey, we arrive in Belfast. We proceed to the city centre and visit Belfast City Hall, one of the city’s landmarks and one of the first places to see in Belfast. Designed in the Renaissance Revival and Baroque styles, the two-storey building has a large dome and an exterior clad in white granite. We will also have the opportunity to see Saint Anne’s Cathedral, one of the city’s most important religious buildings. After completing our tour of Belfast, we depart for Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Following our journey of approximately 2 and a half hours, we arrive in Dublin and begin exploring the city. Dublin Castle, built in the 13th century; Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, dedicated to the city’s patron saint, Saint Patrick; and Christ Church Cathedral, one of the city’s oldest buildings and noted for its Gothic architecture, are among Dublin’s important landmarks. After free time in the city, we meet at the time specified by our guide, travel to our hotel and have free time to rest.

Dublin - Istanbul After breakfast, we complete our checkout procedures and head to Dublin city centre. During our time in the city before the airport time, you can spend time on Grafton Street, the city's most famous shopping street, go shopping, or enjoy time in boutique cafés. After free time, transfer to Dublin Airport at the time to be announced. Flight to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines' scheduled service. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, our tour and services end.
