New York and Miami Tour

Meeting New York

We meet at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport, 3 hours before the flight. After check-in we board Turkish Airlines flight TK 3, departing at 08.00 for New York. We land at 11.00 local time and our waiting vehicle takes us to the hotel.

Check-in at the hotel is at 15.00, so you can rest in the lobby or join the optional extra New York city tour (80 USD). In the "City of Cities" the tour takes in Central Park, Times Square, the New York Public Library, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal, the Empire State Building (from outside) and Rockefeller Center. After the tour we transfer to our hotel for free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge

A full day of free time. Guests who wish can join the optional extra Pearls of New York tour (Statue of Liberty, Empire State and Brooklyn Bridge) (200 USD).

First is the Statue of Liberty. We take the boat to Liberty Island and begin the tour on arrival. A symbol of New York and of American ideals of freedom and independence, the statue was designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, raised on a metal frame built by Gustave Eiffel, and given to America by France in 1886.

Next is the Empire State Building, an icon of the skyline, where we go up to the 86th floor for the view over the city. Our last stop is the Brooklyn Bridge, completed in 1883. We walk across, stop for photos and then transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Onward to Miami

In the morning, at the time set by our guide, we transfer to the airport and take a domestic flight to Miami. On arrival we transfer to our hotel. Check-in is at 15.00, so you can rest in the lobby or join the optional extra Miami city tour (80 USD).

The tour covers Miami Beach, the Versace mansion, Lincoln Road, Little Havana, home to the Cuban community, and Wynwood, a once run-down district turned into a vast open-air gallery by street artists from around the world. After the tour we transfer to our hotel for free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Key West and the Keys

A full day of free time. Guests who wish can join the optional extra Key West tour (150 USD). The drive runs past the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico through the Florida Keys, a chain of small islands joined by bridges that make a fine spot to photograph the colour of the ocean.

In Key West we see the Southernmost Point, the home of the writer Ernest Hemingway, the winter home of former president Harry S. Truman, and Duval Street with its bars and restaurants near the Key West Marina. In the evening we head to Isla Morada for the sunset with live music, then return to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Star Island and Gator Park

A full day of free time. Guests who wish can join the optional extra Star Island and Gator Park tour (150 USD).

Our first stop is Star Island, home over the years to Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Madonna, Frank Sinatra and many other stars, where we see the houses of famous names from film and music up close. Next is Gator Park: we glide through the reeds on an airboat, watching alligators hunt and bask in the sun, then get a closer look and learn more about them after the ride. After the tour we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Homeward from Miami

After check-out in the morning, we head to the airport at the time set by our guide. After check-in we board Turkish Airlines flight TK 78, departing at 22.30 for Istanbul. We arrive at 18.05 local time, and our tour ends.
