Zuri Zanzibar Hotel & Resort

So my husband and I came here for vacation and I will leave an honest review. The views on the beach were beautiful. The greenery is also very nice. The staff were fairly ok. What got me is the greed of this hotel. They charge for water $3.50 a bottle. Lunch also isn’t included. There’s so many little “additional charges” at this hotel for what were maybe per night all 3 meals should be included & considering most people are tourists here, water should also be free. I’m just surprised at the way this “luxury” hotel nickels and dimes people. We stayed at a luxe hotel in the Serengeti that was cheaper than this one and we had no additional charges ever and all 3 meals were included. They do serve American food but honestly they need a bit more training because it wasn’t very tasty. Not sure if I will stay here again for overall the stay was just subpar.

Our stay at Zuri was absolutely unforgettable! The resort is stunning, with beautiful villas, a pristine beach, and a pool that made it the perfect place to relax. The food was exceptional—every meal was delicious, and a special thank you to Executive Chef Darsan for creating such an amazing dining experience. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about his work. The entire staff made us feel at home, and every detail of the resort exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Zuri to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway. Especially after safari!!!

We spent a week at Zuri Zanzibar for our honeymoon, and it was a genuinely special experience from beginning to end. The resort itself is beautiful. The tropical gardens are incredibly well maintained, the bungalows feel private and spacious, and the beach is one of the best we experienced in Zanzibar. Being able to swim throughout the day without the tide retreating a long way was a major advantage, and the sunsets were spectacular. We also enjoyed the excellent pool, the variety of restaurants and bars, and the different dining experiences throughout the week, particularly the beach barbecue. However, the best thing about Zuri is undoubtedly its staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, friendly and attentive, and they made a real effort to make our honeymoon feel special. The service never felt forced or overly formal; people remembered us, took an interest in our stay and consistently went out of their way to look after us. A particular thank you must go to Hamad, who looked after us at the beach bar and at Upendo on Sunday; Prince, who took such good care of us at Upendo every evening; and Malik, who we met at the pool bar and who also looked after us brilliantly at both the beach barbecue and Upendo. We would also like to thank Aneth at the Bahari beach bar, Amri for looking after us during our evenings at the beach bar, and Rheama, who continued checking on us and making sure we were comfortable whilst enjoying the beach during the day. They were all excellent individually, but what impressed us most was how consistently kind and welcoming the entire team was throughout the resort. Zuri combines a stunning setting with excellent facilities, but it is the people who give the hotel its character and make it memorable. We left feeling that the staff had played a genuine part in making our honeymoon so special. Thank you to the whole Zuri team for an unforgettable week. We would strongly recommend the hotel, particularly for couples looking for a relaxing and memorable honeymoon in Zanzibar.
