The Somerset Hotel in Malé may be small, but it truly stands out through its outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome. The receptionist personally picked us up at the airport and escorted us to the hotel, which was a wonderful start to our stay. Every question we had about excursions or things to do was answered thoroughly, and the staff always went a step further by giving us helpful tips to make our experience even better. Their hospitality felt sincere rather than commercial. The hotel restaurant is, in our opinion, among the top three restaurants in all of Malé. The food and service were consistently excellent. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout our stay. Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard every day. What impressed us most was the atmosphere. You don't feel like just another customer—they make you feel like a guest returning to a small family. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Somerset Hotel to anyone staying in Malé.

I can strongly recommend this beautiful hotel in the heart of Malé! Room was absolutely clean, bed is super comfortable and the bathroom had a great size. Reception is so warm, the give you a delicious welcoming tea and a perfectly cold towel. Breakfast was also really nice! Free airport shuttle was very well organised. Overall we had a wonderful experience, the staff is amazing and will choose the Somerset Hotel whenever we are back in Malé!

We stayed at The Somerset Hotel for one night due to an early flight transfer. After a rather disappointing experience at our previous island resort, our expectations were quite low—but this hotel completely turned things around. It was honestly the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. The room was incredibly cozy and fully equipped with everything you could need: high-quality toiletries (body wash, conditioner, body lotion, hand soap), room slippers, plush towels, and bathrobes. We also appreciated the drinking water and the in-room coffee machine. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Bibek, who met us at the airport and escorted us to the hotel. He was exceptional! He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, ensuring we had plenty of water in our room and keeping us great company during the transfer. The rest of the staff was equally wonderful, providing us with excellent recommendations on what to see in the city. After a difficult holiday, the kindness and professionalism we found here were a breath of fresh air. Well done to the whole team—you made us feel like family!
