The hotel's location was good, and most attractions were within a 10–15 minute walk, which was definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. The bathroom had visible limescale and mold in several areas, there was a used cotton swab stuck between the shower door panels, and we found long hairs on the bed sheets and on the floor. This made the room feel poorly cleaned. Another issue was that the door-closing mechanism was broken, so we had to be careful to make sure the room door was fully closed every time we left or entered. The breakfast was average at best. The selection was quite limited, and the quality was nothing special. The room only had a small fan, and the air inside felt stuffy. We were lucky that the weather was cool during our stay, so opening the window helped bring in some fresh air. Overall, considering the price, I believe there are much better hotels available. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and quiet place to stay with great service.

Hotel St. Barbara is a solid 3-star choice mainly for its excellent location, as it is situated in immediate proximity to the Old Town, making sightseeing very convenient. The price is definitely competitive, especially if you manage to book well in advance, offering good value for the area. As for the accommodation, the room was okay and clean, even if the decor felt a bit dated and could use a modern touch. The main drawback was the breakfast, which was somewhat poor with very little choice and variety in the food offered. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay of maximum 2 or 3 nights if you are looking for a functional base to explore Tallinn.
