Scandic Stavanger City

This is a nice hotel conveniently located in a quiet part of town and within walking distance to the downtown area. Rooms are comfortable, quiet (only noise coming in is from room doors being shut), nice equipped with a safe, bathtub, desk, reading lights in bed and a rather tiny closet. We didn't manage to get the a/c to get colder yet the room temperature was acceptable, otherwise we'd have called the Front Desk as in some hotels room temperature is capped. There's a breakfast buffet with all the hot and cold items you can expect in this part of the world, only not so positive was the coffee which was quite bad. All in all we think it's a hotel where we would return on a future visit to Stavanger as long as the price is competitive. Otherwise there are other options in town. One final plus: check out is at noon, this is greatly appreciated.

I have such beautiful memories of my stays at Scandic Stavanger City. I lived there on two different occasions while staying in Stavanger for work, and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. Everything was exceptional — the location near the harbor, the peaceful atmosphere, the comfort, and the kindness of everyone there. I was even able to stay with my little dog, which made everything feel even more warm and welcoming. Stavanger is an incredible place, and this hotel became part of memories I will always cherish.
