Lysefjord boat cruise to view Pulpit Rock
Stavanger · Norway
About this experience
A boat leaves Stavanger and moves along the narrow, deep water of the Lysefjord. Sheer cliffs rise on both sides, and near the fjord's end Pulpit Rock appears from the water as a flat platform atop the rock face. Seen from the water, the size of the cliffs is easier to grasp.
It can be windy on the fjord, so dress in layers. Non-slip shoes help on deck. A wide-angle lens, or your phone's wide mode, helps frame Pulpit Rock. The trip runs in spring, summer and autumn and is easy with small children.
