Arrived very early and staff held our bags, advised of nearby restaurants, things for us to do before our checking. Exceptionally courteous and helpful. Received an upgrade to one of their suites. Very nice indeed. Clean, well organized, USB changers built in, soft towels, bathrobes and slippers. Room is exceptional. Bed is comfortable. Location is fantastic, in the middle of everything. Bar service was outstanding. Ran the extra mile when I said no, it’s fine…they went farther and delivered. Wish we could stay longer, but this wasn’t a fun trip for us, but a sad one. staff and amenities really upped the appreciation of this stop. We loved our short visit to Trier, and Park Plaza staff are a nice part of that satisfaction. Well done. Front desk staff and bar staff were exceptional. We’ll be back next summer for a wedding, and will be staying here.

I booked this hotel for its location and air conditioning on 17 June 2026. Unfortunately, there was no electricity during the night, so the air conditioning, lights, and fridge were not working. What was most disappointing was the hotel’s response. There was no apology or meaningful explanation; the staff acted as if having no electricity during the night was normal. Given that air conditioning was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel, the experience was unacceptable.
Really good location, most Roman and medieval sites are within 10 min walking distance. 15-20 min walk to the train station. Ample parking in a garage next to the hotel. Rooms are good and untipically large.
