Great Stay for a Layover – Excellent Food and Service Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport Hotel West is a solid choice for a stay right before or after a flight. We stayed here for one night after a long journey back from the Philippines, and overall, it was a very comfortable experience. Rooms & Comfort: The beds are very comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. While the rooms are slightly on the smaller side, they are completely fine for a short one-night stay. The room ventilation could certainly be improved, but thankfully, the windows can be opened to let in fresh air. Dining & Service: The real highlight of this hotel is the food. The breakfast buffet is top-notch with a great variety, and the à la carte menu at the restaurant serves delicious meals at reasonable prices. The staff also deserves a special mention—they were wonderfully helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Room for Improvement: One small drawback related to amenities: our luggage was lost on the way home, so we had to purchase toothbrushes at reception. The hotel offers somewhat expensive eco/bamboo toothbrushes and special toothpaste. Honestly, standard disposable toothbrushes with small toothpaste tubes—like many other nearby airport hotels provide—would have been much more practical and appreciated in a pinch. Final Verdict: Would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely. However, on the hottest days of summer, I might look for an option with better air conditioning and ventilation.

For a 3* hotel, everything is absolutely great. Not a single 4* or 5* hotel in other countries would be ashamed of the choice of buffet breakfast. You can also find plant-based milks and less common things such as agave syrup, maple syrup or condensed milk. Transport is very convenient - the airport shuttle 55 stops right in front of the hotel and about 7 minutes walk from the hotel there is a stop for public transport buses 400–420 from the airport, which are about half the price. As for cleanliness, I have nothing to complain about. There are large dispensers with soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. We slept very well thanks to the comfortable bed and high-quality blackout curtains. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The only minor complaint is that not all the signs are in English. The labels on the food are not translated into English, which makes choosing food a little complicated. I used Google Lens Translator and the signage in the guest areas is bilingual, but if you accidentally end up in a hallway that guests are not allowed to enter (for example, after a misunderstanding at the reception), the signs on the doors are only in Norwegian. So you can't tell if it's an employee-only entrance or a no-entry area.

We stayed here overnight for an early flight out of Oslo. It is excellent for families. We had a reasonably priced family room. There are no real activities for the kids. You have to pay to use the game room, but there is a small gym. Next door is a small military museum with a grassy area for kids to play. They do have breakfast included and it was excellent, but the hot portion begins at 6 am. The shuttle bus on weekends only runs twice an hour so you must time this correctly. Also the shuttle bus is about 8USD per adult and free for kids. Great for families who need an overnight prior to flying out of the OSLO airport.
