Hear from those who stayed.
You can almost feel the history inside this spectacular building! The tower gives you a perfect view over the city and I'll duomo. But it's a long way up. Bring enough water if it's hot in Florence. Would buy ticket online upfront.

The Palazzo Vecchio is a real gem and one that a lot of tourists leave off their todo lists. The Palace is amazing and offers a glimpse of the past. The rooms are huge and whilst I do not particularly like paintings the frescoes were amazing. The view from the top of the Arnolfo Tower is just breath taking and worth the climb.
If you enjoy renaissance paintings, this is a must see. For those with limited mobility, there are complimentary wheelchairs in the coat room. Unfortunately it’s still Italy, so…there’s only 2 for the whole museum (and yes they had an empty room that could have stored far more).…

If you enjoy renaissance paintings, this is a must see. For those with limited mobility, there are complimentary wheelchairs in the coat room. Unfortunately it’s still Italy, so…there’s only 2 for the whole museum (and yes they had an empty room that could have stored far more). Go first thing in the morning to be guaranteed one. If you go less than 2 hours before closing you’ll probably get one (we did), but you may have a rough time seeing everything you want.
