NH Collection Palazzo Verona

Our experience at NH Collection Verona was unfortunately quite disappointing, especially considering that this is a 5-star hotel. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Verona and surrounded by shops and the main attractions. The breakfast was also very nice, with a good selection and pleasant service. However, there were several issues that significantly affected our stay. First, the rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed. We could literally hear everything — the noise from the street, the room above us, and even the sound of water and the bathroom being used upstairs. It was very difficult to feel comfortable and get a good night’s sleep. The housekeeping service was also below expectations. The room did not feel properly cleaned. Even when housekeeping came, they seemed to simply make the bed rather than actually clean and organize the room. They would not move or organize any of our belongings, and the bathroom amenities were not replenished properly. Although we booked the room for two people, everything was initially provided for only one person. Even the complimentary bottled water was only one bottle. When we requested more, they sent just one additional bottle. Honestly, for a 5-star hotel, this felt unnecessarily stingy. Another inconvenience is that, due to the hotel’s central location, there is no parking at the hotel, which is understandable given its location. However, there was also very limited assistance with luggage. Only one staff member seemed to be responsible for helping with luggage, and we ended up having to carry our own bags from the room all the way to the car ourselves. The air conditioning was another major issue. It simply wasn’t cold enough, and the room felt warm. This is particularly disappointing for a 5-star hotel, where you would expect the basic comfort of the room to be properly managed. Overall, while the location and breakfast were great, the cleanliness, housekeeping, soundproofing, air conditioning, and level of service were far below what we expected from a 5-star property. The hotel has a fantastic location and great potential, but the service and attention to detail need significant improvement to justify its 5-star rating.

Our stay at NH Collection Verona was excellent from start to finish. We arrived earlier than check-in, but the staff gave us a very warm welcome and kindly stored our luggage while the room was being prepared, which made the whole arrival process smooth and stress-free. The room itself was great—spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It felt well laid out with plenty of room to relax after a day out in the city. The location is a real standout. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore Verona. Plus, some of the best gelati in the city is just a short stroll away, which was a definite bonus! Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide selection of hot and cold options, including freshly made omelettes, and really good coffee to start the day right. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Verona.

Our suite was elegant and spacious, featuring a large bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, which added an extra touch of comfort and luxury. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options to suit every taste. One of the highlights was the charming courtyard, where we could relax and enjoy the authentic Italian atmosphere. Despite being located in the very center of the city, the hotel felt like a peaceful oasis. The moment you stepped outside, you were immersed in the vibrant energy and bustle of Verona, yet inside the hotel there was a wonderful sense of calm and tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to choose this hotel again whenever we return to Verona.
