Kruisherenhotel Maastricht

Absolutely spectacular hotel from the moment you enter. It’s hard to describe the feeling of finding the entrance and then looking up, but it’s the most breathtaking and awesome first impression I’ve ever had at a hotel. The service at Kruisherenhotel was also wonderful, especially from Thom at the front desk. Every need was taken care of promptly and courteously. Mint tea after a long travel day? No problem. Advice on the best coffee shop open on a Monday? Easy. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

A stunning hotel and an exceptional experience, especially for those who love unique and unusual places. The real highlight was the staff: they were incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful. We had a special request, and they did everything they could to make it happen. A huge thank you to the whole team! The breakfast buffet was also very luxurious, served right in the middle of the church, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended.

A unique stay in a beautifully converted church. We had an excellent stay at the Kruisherenhotel in Maastricht and would recommend it without hesitation. From arrival to departure the experience was smooth, and the setting is genuinely one of a kind. The staff were professional and accommodating throughout. Check in and check out were quick and easy, and the valet parking made arriving in the centre of Maastricht far simpler than it usually is. Everything was handled with a quiet efficiency that let us get on with enjoying the city. The real distinction here is the building. The hotel occupies a former church, and that character runs through the whole experience, from the rooms to the breakfast setting. It is special without feeling like a gimmick. Our room was clean, well appointed and thoughtfully finished, with beautiful windows that actually open widely, a comfortable bed, a good bathroom and a proper seating area. It was also quiet and private, which is not always a given in a historic conversion in the middle of town. Breakfast was the highlight and genuinely unforgettable. It is served in the main central body of the church, beneath the original architecture, and the food was excellent and fresh with plenty of options. Eating in that space is an experience in itself and worth waking up for. The location rounds it off. You can walk straight out into the main squares and shops of Maastricht within minutes, which makes the hotel an ideal base for exploring the city on foot. A special hotel in a special setting, run by a team that clearly knows what they are doing. Highly recommended.
