Hotel Bristol Mostar

A 4-star hotel with no water in the room, no tea maker, and basically no services at all — just a bed, toilet, and shower. Do not expect much from this hotel. The only positive point was the kind lady at the reception. We asked for a room with a nice view, and she kindly helped us with that. However, right before checking out, we noticed some kind of insect inside the blanket. I truly hope it was not a harmful insect, otherwise I will seriously consider making a complaint.

We stayed for two nights and paid €181, but the experience was very disappointing. I understand check-in is at 2:00 p.m., but after travelling overnight by bus from Kotor and arriving in Mostar at 4:30 a.m., we waited until midday before returning to the hotel. Our room was ready, but there was no effort to let us check in a little earlier or even show any empathy. I was so exhausted that I kept falling asleep in the reception area. The room had no complimentary bottle of water, the bathroom was tiny, and there was no iron. The breakfast had very little choice and the food wasn’t very good. The customer service was poor, and the staff would benefit from improving their English to better assist international guests. Before our 6:00 a.m. checkout, I requested a takeaway breakfast. The receptionist simply pointed to a fridge and told me to take it myself. It contained just a baguette, one yoghurt, one banana, and a few packets of butter, which was very disappointing.
