I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past three years while visiting from Nairobi. Overall, the property has many positives: the rooms are clean, quiet, and well air-conditioned, the staff are generally pleasant to interact with, and I've always enjoyed the breakfast offerings. Unfortunately, I've also experienced several recurring service issues that have affected nearly every stay. Most notably, I've encountered problems with hot water on two separate visits. On one occasion, the shower remained cold despite running it for more than 20 minutes. On another, there was no water coming from the tap at all. In both cases, reaching the front desk was difficult, as calls often went unanswered. When I did get through, I was assured that maintenance would be sent, but no one ever arrived. During my most recent stay, I returned to the hotel late in the evening and needed dinner. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach room service by phone, I placed my order through the front desk instead. Nearly two hours later—and after several follow-up calls assuring me the food was coming—a cold burger finally arrived. No explanation or apology was offered. What stands out most is not the individual issues themselves, but the lack of follow-through when problems arise. Things occasionally go wrong at any hotel, and travelers understand that. However, guests expect communication, responsiveness, and an effort to resolve issues when they occur. As an international brand, Holiday Inn carries certain expectations regarding service standards. Having traveled extensively throughout East Africa, I'm generally quite understanding when it comes to occasional delays or organizational challenges. However, consistently unanswered calls, unresolved maintenance issues, and a lack of basic guest support fall below what I would expect from a hotel in this category. The hotel has many strengths, but improving responsiveness and guest service would significantly enhance the overall experience.

The reception by the team was amazing. Hamira at the reception was super welcoming and very professional, she made the stay more warm and would always warmly great me on my way in from my meetings. Also appreciate the service by Esther in the restaurant, she was always trying to explain the different dishes and helping choose the right ones and she always had a smile on her face. Overall loved the place and would come again as long as they continue employing such nice personnel
