Holiday Inn Ashford Central

Fab stay last night and friendly staff.The new updated rooms have been done to a high standard , large spacious rooms, very confortable bed and smart tv. Bathroom was impressive with large walk in shower and Dove soaps. We went for breakfast this morning and was again impressed. Very good variety of food. Full english, cheeses, cereals, fresh breads which were so soft and pastries! would recommend the vegan raspberry croissant and coffee machine. Walking distance to the town, large sainsburies and harvester for food. Would definately recommend! :)

I admit to being a bit worried when I found out this was an immigrant hotel for 4 years and only stopped in July. However, it was unjustified. The hotel is being refurbished and it’s better than some most other local Holiday Inn’s I’ve used. The only caveat being that they’re still finding their feet with staff and how to provide the best service possible, hence 3 stars. I’m sure over the next few weeks and with good management, they’ll be much better.

I am an IHG loyalty card member because I have always felt I could rely on a room as described and a decent night’s sleep. This hotel failed in both aspects. The double room I booked was a twin not a double as described and I was told by reception that the small print allowed this misrepresentation - a first time for me. The air conditioned room was sold as such when it was known to be unserviceable and the management had been unable to source a fan.for some time! All during the well documented heatwave. A very poor nights rest in the sauna like room and no one on duty at reception in the morning. No more IHG be warned.
