DoubleTree by Hilton Bath

Recently stayed at double tree in bath for the bank holiday weekend. Car park under the hotel super easy to use although extremely busy in the afternoon when we arrived so was very difficult to find a space. Hotel first impression on arrival was great 10/10 Staff on reception were all very friendly and welcoming. Very kid friendly which we loved. Room was over looking the river Avon looked very nice at night time. Room was well set out and clean. Only one gripe I had which was annoying for me loving cold beers was the fridge was not on when we arrived and even after turning it on straight away never got cold the entire weekend. I had to go to the bar to get buckets of ice to cool drinks but it was manageable and would not warrant any negativity in the review as the pros well outweighed this. Restaurant is gordan Ramsey bread kitchen. Didn’t actually eat there in the evenings but the menu looked great and had breakfast in the restaurant section in the mornings and was very clean and well designed. Staff for breakfast were great 10/10 made us very welcome and all very professional. Food was amazing 10/10 especially the full English and the coffee machines. We would 100% return here. Location was perfect right in the heart of the shops and restaurants. Totally recommend this hotel for a visit many thanks

TLDR: Perfect downtown location; comfortable and quiet rooms; friendly staff. Room: Our room was small but lovely and perfect for our two-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, room well lit, and had ample storage space (drawers and closet). The bathroom had a ledge for toiletries and also had exceptional lighting. The one downfall of the room was that there were signs instructing you to keep the bathroom door closed as steam would set off the fire alarms. This made it rather difficult to take a shower and get dressed without opening the door until the steam dissipated (regardless if we took cold showers). The room was well air conditioned and comfortable. Our room was off the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet. Location: This is downtown Bath, and very walkable to everything within the area: shops, restaurants, abbey, Roman Baths, etc. It was well positioned so throughout the day we could stop by the hotel to freshen up, drop off bags, etc. Parking: There is very limited parking at the hotel, and requires parking in a lot, which entrance is right outside the hotel. When we arrived, the lot was full so we had to wait in line to enter the garage and hunt for an open spot. This was a bit of a downfall, but the car was well protected during our stay. Staff: They were very friendly and were able to bring up extra towels quickly on one occasion.

I'm Hilton Diamond. Upon entering, Ron checked us in right away. It was our first time in Bath and thanks to Hasan for helping us with our room situation, making our stay at the Doubletree the most memorable—Emilia was not helpful when made aware of our problem; Hasan worked to create a real solution. We had our mornings brightened by Matteo greeting us for breakfast for half our stay. The location is superb. It's only a 14 minute walk from the Bath Spa train station. The main attractions are only steps away in the historic city center. Kids eat free at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the hotel on weekdays. The breakfast buffet gives you enough to choose from, but go elsewhere if you want some varied local fare as there are many cafés and restaurants within walking distance. The grocery store next to the hotel is a lifesaver if you're on a budget with lunch under £10 per person. If there is an issue with your room, allow the team to fix it—while I had to ask twice, I'm happy we had it resolved.
