Desert Rock Resort

Desert Rock is in the Hejaz Mountains behind the Red Sea coast. The villas and suites are built into the mountain terrain itself, some set into the rock face, so the view opens out of the stone rather than through a window. Red Sea International Airport is about twenty minutes away.

The resort occupies some 30,000 square metres of raw landscape, and the quality it puts forward in its own words is silence. Villas have private pools.

Dining is not confined to one room: desert picnics, poolside lunches, woodfire cooking and mountaintop dinners are each named separately. There is a spa and wellness area. Activities include guided via ferrata climbing with mountaineers, mountain expeditions and desert routes.
