Cologne Marriott Hotel

An excellent stay here for a couple of nights and then back for 12 days again. The hotel is perfectly located a 3min walk from the main train station and the majority of sights are eqsily walkable. Also it is possible for taxis to arrive right outside the hotel as well. A nice spacious lobby for checkin and very friendly staff at check in on my 12 day stay but not so on the first 2night stay. The room was very good, it was quite spacious with nice sized bathroom. Everything was very clean on arrival. The lounge was a good size and has two balconys over looking the city. They served a nice varied selection of food each night although i did eat out a couple of nights as the lounge never had any typical German dishes. The staff were excellent especially Maria and Marco. Especially when I atrived late one night after an incident on my way back to the hotel and the lounge food had been put away the lounge staff had a look around the kitchen and were able to put together a plate of diferent breads, cheeses and salami etc. There is a nice selection of soft drinks including German schwip schwap. The breakfast in the hotel is really very good, excellent selection and high quality. Just dont order the eggs benedict as the yolks arrive hard and on a slice of toast instead of the proper english muffin halves. The omelettes were very well done and one of the best ive had. So im a bit confused by some of the other reviews that only gave 3 or less stars as this is a great hotel. The staff overall were excellent at the hotel and were genuinely friendly and helpful. This is definitely a hotel I would stay at again and what I hope others should be like.

We definitely have to share our experience here travelling with our family and two young kids, a two-year-old and a four-year-old. The entire stay was incredibly amazing. The team members and the staff, specifically Pilar, as well as the team in the Executive Lounge, make sure that they cater for our dietary needs. They created so many wow moments for our kids, like ducky hands and great amenities. We truly have to say that our experience at this hotel is the best that we've ever had in a Marriott-branded hotel and the level of service and care from the staff is of the level of Ritz Carlton. Truly an amazing experience that we were not expecting, that blew us away

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Köln Marriott Hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to Cologne Central Station, Cologne Cathedral, and many nearby attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it suitable for both families and longer stays. However, the room felt a little dated and could benefit from some refurbishment and modernization. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a well-located hotel with generous room sizes.
