We recently stayed at Hotel Al Duca and had an excellent time. The staff were wonderful. Our room was on the top floor (level 3) and the AC unit and fan kept it comfortable despite the late July heat. The room was a nice size for 2 with a large bed (2 twins pushed together). The hotel is in a great location, just down the street from a dock where the water taxi can drop you off from the airport and a short walk to the San Stae water bus stop. The hotel is near a square with restaurants and gelato shop; there was a festival in the square the week we were there which we really enjoyed walking through. The street the hotel is on is very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast had a nice assortment of pastries, fruit, cheese (among other items) with made-to-order espresso drinks.
Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was great. The blonde receptionist was so kind, informative, and gave great advise/recommendations. The location offered a quiet environment away from the busy tourist areas which were only a 10 minute walk away. Other than the uncomfortable bed, our stay was flawless.
