AC Hotel Pisa

My stay at AC Hotel by Marriott was extremely disappointing. The sound insulation in the rooms was terrible. I was woken up multiple times throughout the night by noise from neighboring rooms and the hallways, making it impossible to get proper rest. On top of that, the cleanliness standards were unacceptable. The hotel felt dirty throughout my stay, and many areas appeared poorly maintained. I genuinely felt uncomfortable touching surfaces because of how unclean the property seemed. What made the experience even worse was the hotel’s response when I asked to check out early due to these issues. Despite raising legitimate concerns about the noise and cleanliness, I was told I would still be charged for the full stay and would even face additional penalties. There was no effort to address the problems or provide a reasonable solution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. If you are considering booking here, I would strongly suggest reading recent reviews carefully and proceeding with caution.

Andrea welcomed us late and was super friendly and helpful to get us into our room quickly as we were tired from travelling. Our Bonvoy benefits got us a free drink which was super appreciated and served with a smile. Hotel is generally a bit tired but it was expected. Dreadful weak shower but clean and comfortable. I just checked out of this awful hotel and feel compelled to write a review to warn everybody about this place. As a Bonvoy member, I usually communicate with the front desk using the chat function in app. During my stay, the front desk did not respond to my message requesting for bathroom slippers. Therefore, I tried to call them but the phone was not working. I had to go down to the front desk to request for the items but only 1 person was at work and she was busy with one person checking in and working extremely slowly. I had to waste 30 minutes before being attended to. I communicated to the front desk staff that the phone in my room wasn’t working and she just shrugged her shoulders and told me that they do not have any spare phones. The room also had very poor sound proofing. I could hear noises from the corridor and the room beside mine. The room was also very dirty, as described in many other reviews on Google. I wish I read review of this hotel before booking it, instead of trusting the Marriott branding. Breakfast at the hotel costs €11 per person and is extremely basic. The eggs and sausages ran out quickly and were not refilled for a long time. I did not feel that the breakfast was value for money. When I brought up some of the issues at check out, the front desk staff were very dismissive and flat out told me to write into Marriott corporate if I was dissatisfied with my stay. They eventually gave me a US$10 discount for my breakfast. Please stay elsewhere.
