The national museum on Saadiyat Island tells the story of the UAE's founding and its surroundings. The building was designed by an international architecture studio, and its tower-like elements catch the eye. The exhibits cover the country's history, nature and founding era.

There may be a good deal of walking and standing. Dress modestly and comfortably, and bring a thin layer as the museum is cool. Allow time to see the architecture from outside too.
