Scenic Railway and Cableway rides at Scenic World
Blue Mountains · Australia
About this experience
In the Blue Mountains, a very steep railway and a cableway take you down into the rainforest of the valley. At the bottom, tree trunks, ferns and cool air close in around you, and then a car or carriage carries you back up. The descent and the climb each work like a short scenic tour.
It is cool and damp in the forest below, so bring a jacket. Walking tracks can be wet, so choose shoes with grip. If a steep descent bothers you, bear that in mind when choosing between car and carriage.
