Fresh coffee tasting at a San Jose coffee plantation
San Jose · Costa Rica
About this experience
At a plantation near San José, you walk among coffee plants and hear how a bean makes its way to the cup. Freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee is served right beside the fields. Green rows and birdsong set the unhurried rhythm of the place.
The fields can be damp, so wear closed shoes and bring a thin rain jacket. Drinking the coffee slowly lets you tell aroma from taste. A sun hat and insect repellent are useful. Listening to the grower beside your cup is the best part of the visit.
