Qasr Al Hosn stands in central Abu Dhabi as one of the city's oldest stone buildings. The fort's white walls, towers and courtyards combine with exhibitions that tell the story of the city's founding. Walking through, the contrast between old and new Abu Dhabi is very clear.
Allow two hours. In the hot months bring a hat and water, though exhibition halls are air-conditioned and can be cool. Follow staff guidance on the rules of the site.
