Traditional Georgian khinkali tasting in Mtskheta
Mtskheta · Georgia
About this experience
Mtskheta is one of Georgia's old capitals, with stone churches and cafes sitting side by side along narrow streets. Here a khinkali table is laid: traditional dough parcels twisted at the top and filled with spiced meat arrive steaming. They are traditionally eaten by hand, taking the first bite so the broth does not spill.
Vegetarians and guests with dietary restrictions or allergies should say so beforehand. Napkins and a little patience are all you need; take care not to spill the broth on the first bite. A short stroll around the churches and old town is pleasant too.
