About this experience
A cable car carries you up the mountain north of Vancouver. As the cabin climbs, the forest shrinks and the city, the harbour and the waters leading to the Pacific spread out below. Open terraces at the top give a wide horizon, reaching far on clear days.
It is noticeably cooler at the summit than in the city, so layer up and bring something windproof. A clear day changes the view completely, whereas on a misty one the cabin may pass through cloud. A spot by the window gives the best photographs.
