Part of Medellín's public transport, this cable car climbs towards the city's high neighbourhoods. From the cabin you watch hillsides stacked with homes, narrow streets and the wide sweep of the valley. Seeing everyday city life from above gives a perspective a tour bus cannot offer.
Cabins can be crowded at busy hours, so keep valuables in a closed bag. A spot by the window makes it easy to photograph the rooftops of the neighbourhoods. The ride is short and needs no extra walking at either end. On cloudy days it cools as you rise, so a light jacket is welcome.
