Taormina

My wife and I had a highly comfortable stay here. The bed was excellent, the shower was good, and the room was surprisingly quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. One of the highlights was the staff—they were incredibly helpful, explained everything clearly, and let us store our luggage for free both before check-in and after check-out. Location-wise, it's very convenient: a 10-minute walk from Rome Central Train Station (Termini) and 7 minutes from the metro, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets nearby. While the surrounding neighborhood isn't the most scenic part of Rome, we never once felt unsafe.

​If you are looking for a hassle-free, comfortable place to stay while exploring Rome, Hotel Taormina is a wonderful choice. The absolute highlight of this hotel is its prime location. It is incredibly close to the metro station, which makes navigating Rome an absolute breeze. The rooms here are a decent size with plenty of space to unpack and relax and the beds are also comfy. What truly sets Hotel Taormina apart is the hospitality. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, nice staff. Had a mini- fridge in the room which was really useful. However, I would suggest they add a kettle and a few sachets for warm drinks in the room rather than having to go to the machine in the reception area and maybe a microwave in the lounge? However, if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There are no lifts, only stairs and long corridors. The area is a bit seedy in the evening. During the day it's fine but once the shops are closed, homeless people take shelter under the arches. They never bothered or harassed us but families with young children might wish to avoid.
