Where to being with this all star line up of staffing? My sister had her wedding there this past weekend and this team not only made us feel like family, but treated every single member they saw as their own family member. Marianne and Joseph ensure every detail was proactively addressed, guests were all satisfied, and, paid very close attention to the bride and groom from start to finish. On top of them, Jasmin at the check-in counter ensured our packaged rates were accurate, facilitated a smooth check-out process of multiple guests, and even WENT OUT OF HER WAY to help us with a parking discrepancy which she didn't have to do at all. They are truly the gold standard in hospitality, and as long as these 3 members are still working at the Hyatt, we will always choose the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson for our future events. A masterclass, truly well done!

Do not host an event or get married here - nightmare to work with Firstly, the room booking process was a nightmare. We had booked 70 rooms for our block and were told we could add more as needed. When our block filled up, it took multiple back and forth calls and emails before we were given a few more rooms. The hotel also asked us to be the intermediary between the hotel and guests booking rooms (we had 250+ guests). We of course said no, but for anyone adding days outside the room block, they had to email back and forth and then received no confirmation. We had multiple guests messaging us about rooms because the process was so frustrating. The week of our wedding, the hotel informed us the escalator was broken and that it would not be fixed in time. This was a massive inconvenience for guests and we would like to be compensated accordingly. The pool was also shut down, which is another reason we had booked this venue, as we wanted an activity for guests before events. We were told we would be able to keep decor items and items for welcome bags in a storage room and when we checked in the storage room wasn't available. We had also booked a room as a hospitality suite and that was no longer available either. We had confirmed each of these 2 days prior in the final check-in meeting. We were also surprised at the lack of customer service at this hotel. No one to help with bags, no room service, no special perks for the bride and groom (not even a welcome drink) . We had paid for a welcome sign to be put up in the lobby (also confirmed 2 days prior in the final check-in meeting) and when we got here they refused to put it up because there was a conference of doctors. The Sales Director was condescending and rude and could not have cared less that we booked 70+ rooms and brought 250+ people to the hotel. It was clear that the conference of doctors was more of a priority for the hotel than our wedding. Our decor team also had issues with the venue. Hotel staff had confirmed a set up time for the decor team and when they arrived no one was there to let them in. They were told it was due to union requirements and they had to wait hours for someone to let them in. Once they were in, nothing that was previously discussed was set up. This delayed production time and caused a lot of stress for everyone. Working with the Hyatt Regency Jersey City added a lot of stress during an already stressful time. We were swayed by the city views but if we could go back and do it again, we would have booked somewhere else.

We stayed here 4th of July weekend during the World Cup 2026 games. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean, the front desk staff was lovely. The parking attendants were nice. Around midnight I had to go to the front desk to ask for an extra bathroom towel because I realized we were shorted one on check in- and a towel was delivered in only a few minutes time. We chose to self park which was about a 3-5 minute walk I believe at $27 a day. We had lunch on July 4th - the hostess was lovely and set us with a perfect table to view the tall ships sailing in. She even called us to tell us when our table was ready. The most impressive part of the stay was the fact that they had ID checks at the lobby on July 4th. There was an abundance of foot traffic in the area because of a July 4th Jersey City festival. It was lovely because it meant hotel guests got treated properly - got to have lunch on site, we had a fireworks viewing area reserved for hotel guests only. We didn't use the gym, the pool is recently closed I'm not sure if it will be reopening. There was a playground only steps away from the hotel and we felt very safe here with our 6 year old.
