Wood Hotel

Great location above the town, peaceful with wonderful views. The was plenty of free parking. There are a few type-2 EV charging bays near the main entrance, but they are Not marked "EV Only" so I had to squeeze between 2 non EV cars. Our double room was modern and clean with a very comfortable bed, but the room was very cramped. It was okay for our one-night layover before catching the Lofoten ferry the next day, and the ferry terminal is only a few minutes away. A special thanks to the wonderful Filipino lady who checked us in at reception!

Absolutely amazing place, sadly during our trip the rooftop pool heating was not working so the water was quite cold. Also weather during our stay was quite windy. The staff was very helpful and were happy to refund our spa service even without asking. Totally 5 star experience. I just have to drop one star out or full five due to the Sauna not being on par with the expectation. View from the sauna is breathtaking, but the actual sauna design does not allow for quality sauna experience. I would suggest for the hotel to hire a sauna consultant to go through the proper usage & installation location for the heater and other needed utilities in the sauna that make the experience as relaxing as it should be.

For hikers and those seeking hideout off but close the city, this hotel is good pick. The location is breathtaking, breakfast and dinner served at the 7th floor. Trails start directly from the hotel. Breakfast has quality, dinner a la carte bit on the posh side but I'd say worth the money, beautifully plated anyway. Bar is also on 7th, offering nice views. On the minus side, the basic rooms are VERY small, and our room was too hot though we cranked the control to as much minus it allowed.
