My family and I recently stayed at WestCord, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. The biggest advantage is the excellent location. It’s just a short walk from the main train station, with major attractions such as the Royal Palace nearby, and tram stops right outside the hotel, making it very easy to get around Amsterdam. The property is clean, comfortable, and modern. The rooms feature cozy beds and excellent rain showers. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, along with the complimentary coffee and tea available in the welcoming lobby. There are a couple of downsides to be aware of. The standard rooms are quite compact, which is typical for central Amsterdam. For families with even one child, adding an extra bed makes the room feel very cramped and leaves little space to move around. The air conditioning can also be a little inconvenient. It tends to switch off during the night because it is controlled from a central system rather than from within the room. If you prefer the AC to remain on overnight, it’s best to inform the front desk in advance.

I recently stayed here for 6 nights and loved this hotel for many reasons. Pros: Location is great! 6 min walk to Centraal station, on a main street, but a slightly quieter one with no outside noise. You need a key card to enter the lobby and the elevators making it feel safer in an area that already felt safe. Rooms were modern and clean with great sheets. Staff were amazing (particularly Jip, Jesse and Sergio). The breakfast was one of the best I had (among 8+ hotels in Europe I've recently stayed in) and the staff there kept things clean, stocked, refreshed, etc. They were amazing. Cons: The one inch gap in the frosted glass bathroom door with a direct view of the toilet could definitely be problematic for some (I was by myself, so not an issue). Awkward layout of the bed making it seem it was facing the wrong way, but it was ok. Some miscommunication or misunderstanding about housekeeping (I somehow got coded as a "Greenstay" room so no housekeeping for 6 nights, but I did get clean towels from the front desk and it was fine). Minor suggestion: have someone always at the front desk or have a bell. They were sometimes away or in the back and not noticing someone waiting for a few mins. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again on future visits to Amsterdam.
Best location used the back lobby to exit the hotel and all the restaurants in the right, room is small but it’s ok we’re there just 2 nights to sleep and during the day exploring, employees are friendly. Breakfast are delicious lots of choices. And the best the shower pressure is strong.
