I called with a reservation said it was ok to pay cash as long as card was on file. I get off my destination after driving 9 hrs to rest even after confirming that cash was ok. I guess they figured get the sale and don't care about a young women being stranded at night. Wasted my time. Thank God the hotel behind them (days inn) was better with communication and less thirsty for a sale for a night. Should have went with them first; would have been happier not wasting my time and having people look at me funny

My husband and I went for a weekend getaway from May 22 - May 24. This hotel was quiet and had McDonald's right across the parking lot, which helped after a long drive, but the location was neither bad, nor amazing. Tamara checked us in a was sweet to us both nights we were there. The room however was underwhelming. It was a single king and had a mini fridge, which helped a little. Since we didn't plan to spend a lot of time there, this wasn't a deal breaker, but there were some issues that made our stay pretty uncomfortable. The bathroom was smaller than any other hotel we have stayed in, which kind of threw me. My husband said the water from the sink tasted horrible, so we got a few water bottles to put in the mini fridge. The bed was absolutely horrible. It was hard as a rock and left us both incredibly sore, which negatively impacted us physically the whole weekend. We each had 2 pillows, which were half the size of a normal pillow and highly uncomfortable. I went to the front desk to ask for normal size pillows, to which I was told there are none. I was graciously given a couple thinner blankets, which helped a little but not much at all. The pillows didn't hold their shape and had to constantly be moved and manipulated, adding to the sleepless night. Because of the bed alone, neither of us got much sleep, which sucked considering the long drive we had what we had planned for the weekend. The next night I went back to the front desk and Tamara was working again. She was able to locate a couple normal size pillows, which did help a little. I give this a 3 star rating primarily because of Tamara. If it weren't for her, I would probably give this a 1 or 2 star. My husband and I will be back to Springfield, but we won't be back to this hotel.

I checked in for my 3 night stay and went to the room, it has a bad odor but I wasn’t going to spend much time in the room so that didn’t bother me. Night time came and I woke up at 3am with bites on my wrist and shoulders. I immediately checked the mattress and found a bed bug under the mattress protector. I put it in a zip lock bag and took it to the front desk clerk. She told me all the rooms were booked up and asked if I wanted to switch rooms (not sure how that is possible if the rooms are all booked up) I told her I would just like to check out with a full refund as this was unacceptable. It took almost an hour to check out. I got a notification that there was a charge for $85.17 from the hotel on my card and asked what the charge was and the lady at the front desk stated her manager told her to put an authorization charge on my card. The lady said it would fall off my account in 15mins. (The charge is still pending on my account) I asked why they needed to authorize this charge and she did not know and stated the manager came in at 8am and I could talk to her. I called at 8:30am and the manager was rude, raised her voice at me and told me the bug I brought down was not a bed bug, the charge on my account was a 3rd party authorization and she could not do anything about it (I booked my stay on they’re website) and that I was getting a refund so it didn’t matter. I explained that I booked on they’re website so there should not be a 3rd party authorization, the manager said that they did not put the charge on my account. I asked to get into contact with someone above her because that was not right and she stated there is no one above her she is the manager. I am very disappointed in this hotel, this was supposed to be a birthday trip.
