Mercure Kaliningrad

Celebrated my birthday here and came away with some of my better travel memories from the trip. Met a lot of genuinely nice people and had enough fun that the stay turned into more than just a comfortable hotel night. One of the best places I have stayed in, and I am a demanding traveler. Rooms are clean, new, and well kept, with a modern touch and clear care taken in how they are put together. The city view from the room was a real plus, and reception was polite and professional the whole stay. Location is walking distance from the center, which made it easy to get around on foot. Left very happy with the choice.

Unfortunately there is not mentioned a restaurant called Simpatio located in a Mercure hotel, but by visiting that place for a more than a few times I definitely would recommend to visit that: their staff is elegant and helpful, their bar zone in the hotel lobby is shining and it correlates the modern high atmosphere. Kitchen-wise I have some questions to the dishes (soups and main positions) lately, but the kitchen responds very much politely and corrects if there is something wrong. A cold borscht last time was a mix of water and свёкла, so better ask if they changed the recipe. The cocktail „Siberian ice coffee“ is a changing the world cocktail, never tried it before, but was in love from the first sip, it’s a must try Position there!! Also dessert-wise there is a piece of love called „Pavlova“ that’s generally the best „Pavlova“ in the city!! Photos included and for me the best experience would be a cocktail and a dessert mentioned above on their nice coachy terrace! There is a warm and clean terrace with a great view on a lake…🔥 Forgot to tell about jazz life concert with a charming woman singing on weekends!! Parking is available. Pet-friendly. Kid-friendly. Wheelchair accessibility.

We were allowed to check in before 14:00 , so welcoming 🙂! Room is comfortable , air conditioner is not very convenient to use , have to manually adjust it, often. Way to sauna is just weird. It's welcoming to go in bathrobe to spa by staff but you will catch the judging eye 👀 of visitors. The path to spa laying through guest hall 😁. Design is very good looking, decor and art though is heavy a bit. Sauna , ham and gym is included and 🙂. Beautiful outside 🌃
