Masseria Torricella

Excellent stay in a very good masseria. The location is perfect, overlooking the valley below with vineyards, farmland and woods. Very popular restaurant with local food on the menu both for breakfast and dinner. Many ingredients come from the farm. Their own wine, cheese and more can be purchased at the masseria. A tour of the vineyards, winery followed by a food/wine pairing session is a must. Lovely pool area.

Reserved dinner at the property. Food was excellent, staff/service was great. Our reservation was for 7:30 and there were a good amount of bugs swarming our table but almost all of them went away by about 8:15 so maybe plan your reservation a little later. We went earlier because of the kids. Restaurant is incredibly kid friendly and seems like the resort in general is very welcoming to children.

I was quite dissatisfied with my stay at Masseria Torricella. Upon arriving at the hotel during check-in, dinner at the property was offered to us. Since I was traveling with my father and we wanted to explore Alberobello at night, we asked for restaurant recommendations in town. The response was that “it’s very touristy there,” and we received virtually no suggestions or assistance. Another negative point was the room: despite the very hot weather, the air conditioning did not work properly, and there were a large number of mosquitoes, which greatly disturbed our rest during the night. The next day, we wanted to enjoy the hotel’s beautiful view while drinking a bottle of wine we had already purchased during our trip. However, we were informed that we could only consume wines produced by the masseria itself. I found this extremely unpleasant, considering we were staying at the property and simply wanted to enjoy the atmosphere in a relaxed way. Overall, we felt that the service was not very welcoming and was overly restrictive. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the experience.
