Le Méridien Chiang Rai

I stayed at Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort on this trip, and I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place to stay in Chiang Rai. One perk worth knowing is that guests get free admission to Mae Fah Luang Art & Cultural Park. The hotel never mentioned it during check-in. I only found the voucher while looking through the papers in the room. If you’re staying here, definitely don’t miss this benefit. The park is well worth visiting. We were upgraded to a corner room that, according to the staff, isn’t available to book directly on the hotel’s website. It was quiet, private, and the bathroom was huge. The best part was the view from the room. Lying on the balcony sofa, looking up at the sky and out over the lush green resort, was incredibly relaxing. simply being there made me happy. The gym was another highlight. It was almost always empty, so my sister and I practically had it to ourselves every day. All the equipment was from Technogym, which made working out even more enjoyable. If you like exercising, this alone makes for a great hotel stay in Thailand. The peaceful lake was beautiful, and there’s a huge tree by the pool that gives the whole area even more character. At night, soft lighting comes on around the resort, creating a completely different atmosphere. I don’t know if I’ll have another chance to visit Chiang Rai, but if I do, I’d definitely stay here again.

This is my third stay, and it won't be my last. It's become one of my favourite hotels, and my girlfriend and I are even planning to hold our wedding here. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and genuinely clean, with a solid range of amenities. A minor note: some of the upholstered built-in furniture could use a more thorough clean, as there were a few dirt spots (a small thing, but worth mentioning for a property at this level). The gym is genuinely impressive compared to most hotels in this category. Breakfast is decent and nothing extraordinary, but perfectly satisfactory. What sets this hotel apart, though, is the environment and the people. The grounds are lush with greenery and sit right on the river, creating a calm, almost serene atmosphere that's hard to find. Yes, it's a bit removed from the city centre, but it's only a short drive to town and the airport, so it never feels like an inconvenience. The staff are, without exaggeration, the best I've encountered at any hotel. Every single person smiles and makes you feel genuinely welcomed and some even remembered my name from a previous visit.

Wonderful Stay at Le Méridien Chiang Rai We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful property in northern Thailand! While the rooms are a bit on the older side, the overall experience more than made up for it. The grounds and property itself are absolutely magnificent – simply stunning. The pool is particularly beautiful and became our favorite spot to relax. What truly sets this hotel apart is the impeccable service from every member of the staff. We received an incredibly warm welcome throughout our stay: • Tunya, who greeted us upon arrival and made us feel right at home • Jah, who welcomed us at breakfast each morning with genuine warmth • The concierge team, who expertly arranged a private tour with a driver and gave us excellent local recommendations We also treated ourselves to the spa services and received an outstanding aromatherapy massage recommendation – highly recommend trying it! Overall, we had a magnificent stay in this beautiful northern Thai city. Despite the slightly dated rooms, the hospitality, stunning surroundings, and attentive service created an unforgettable experience. We would definitely return!
