Holiday Inn Birmingham M6 Jct 7

I had a pleasant five-night stay at the hotel. The staff were excellent and very friendly, and I especially appreciated the lovely lady at breakfast. She would kindly prepare boiled eggs for me every morning, even though they weren’t part of the regular breakfast menu. That thoughtful gesture really made my stay special. The food was okay overall, and the air conditioning was definitely appreciated during the hot days. My main point of feedback would be the room size. My room felt quite small, around 12–15 square metres, and was located more like a basement-level room, which I hadn’t expected from a Holiday Inn. Overall, I had a good stay and would happily return. I would just hope for a slightly larger and better-positioned room next time.

Nice room, bloody hot though but there were fans But The staff went over and above to make it right. They were absolutely top notch..professional and courteous throughout (well, on reception anyway, the daytime bar staff were devoid of any personality whatsoever).. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal too. Best hotel breakfast I've had in years genuinely

The rooms were clean and modern. The staff were polite. Breakfast was yummy. However, the air conditioning DIDN'T work and with only a tiny window to open our room was 33°C overnight. We were toldon our first night that maintenance would fix the next day but that didn't happen. On our third night we asked to move to a room with working AC and were told none of the available rooms had working AC. We heard others complaining to reception too. Also, the sofa beds in the family rooms are only suitable for small children, as only 170cm long. My 12 year old slept on it but 14 year old had to sleep on floor as couldn't fit.
