Hilton Luxor

I've stayed at Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa twice, and I would happily choose it again if I return to Luxor. The hotel's biggest strengths are its peaceful atmosphere, excellent location close to Karnak Temple, beautiful Nile views, and one of the best spa facilities I've experienced in Egypt. After long mornings exploring the temples and archaeological sites, coming back to relax by the pool overlooking the Nile was one of the highlights of the trip. The staff was consistently warm, attentive and genuinely eager to help without ever feeling intrusive. The rooms are probably the only area where the hotel is starting to show its age. They're clean, comfortable and well maintained, but a renovation would bring them back to the same high standard as the rest of the property. Fortunately, this never affected the overall quality of my stay. One piece of advice: if you can handle the summer heat, visit during the low season. Prices are significantly lower, the resort is incredibly quiet, and you'll often feel like you have the pools, spa and common areas almost entirely to yourself. For me, that completely transformed the experience. Finally, I have one small suggestion for the management. During the summer months, temperatures in Luxor can easily exceed 45°C (113°F). Including a small complimentary single-use sunscreen sachet among the bathroom amenities would be a thoughtful touch. Sunscreen is surprisingly difficult to find outside tourist resorts, and when you do find it, it's often very expensive. It's a small detail, but one that guests would genuinely appreciate and that would further elevate an already excellent hospitality experience.

Location is spectacular, right on the banks of the Nile, and the facilities are generally very good. The beds are super comfortable and we slept well. The choice of dining options was good, with some of the food outstanding but some also a bit underwhelming. The staff have been the standout. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful and nothing has ever seemed as if it were too much trouble. It has been lovely to retreat to the hotel after an early start and a busy morning exploring the local archaeology and history. One small gripe. There are no complimentary snacks or drinks in the room. Just some juice or crisps/nuts would be most welcome

We had a truly unforgettable evening at the Hilton Resort in Luxor. Dining beside the beautiful Nile River while enjoying a traditional Egyptian meal was one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. The food was outstanding. It was authentic, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish gave us a wonderful taste of Egyptian culture. What made the evening especially memorable, however, was the exceptional service provided by Ahmed Ali and Hassan. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness made us feel incredibly welcome. They went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, sharing their hospitality with sincere pride and making the entire experience feel special and personal. The combination of the stunning riverside setting, delicious traditional cuisine, and the outstanding care from Ahmed Ali and Hassan created a magical evening that we will remember for years to come. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!! We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor and we will definitely be visiting again.
