Hilton Garden Inn Tirana

The staff is outstanding – incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious food and top-quality service. The location is great, and the pool area is beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing. The only downside is the rooms. The furniture and overall design feel like they haven’t been updated in over 30 years. The biggest disappointment is the bathroom. It is very outdated, and the shower leaks badly, with water running all over the bathroom floor. This is simply not what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. If the rooms, and especially the bathrooms, were renovated, this hotel would easily be a 10 out of 10. Everything else was truly excellent.

Great staff and comfortable rooms! To walk to city center it takes about 30/40 mins (very safe walk) but you can get a cab easily with the front desk that's take 5/10 mins. The rooms have everything you need and are very spacious. The hotel has a washer and dryer which was great since I spent 5 nights here (2 stays ) hiking and sighting. The breakfast buffet in the morning is a great spread with lots of choice. Every morning Michelle was the SWEETEST! I felt like family every time I saw her, whether I was rushing off to an early tour or having a slow morning she made sure to remember my name and make sure I was looked after. At the front desk Eneda and Anoitella (sorry I spelt her name wrong but she is new) were always smiling and ready to help with anything I needed time and time again. The front office manager and another young lady with curly hair (sorry cannot recall her name) were also super helpful! The housekeeping staff does a great job - I always leave my do not disturb on my door but I was always met with a smile when I needed towels or water brought up. The gentleman (he is very tall) in room service was patient and kind each time I ordered -especially with my need for extra ketchup haha! Overall so nice to have dependable and kind people at your back when traveling! The staff here are what Hilton is about.

Hilton Garden Inn is typically known as a budget/focused-service brand, but this property felt genuinely premium. From the moment I checked in, my Diamond status was recognized, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. I arrived early at 12:00 PM (incredibly rude of me, I know), instead of the standard 3:00 PM check-in, and they accommodated me immediately without any hesitation. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a full suite. Because I had originally booked a twin, the front desk checked if a suite layout would work for us—it turned out to be an expansive space with two separate rooms, proper beds, two full bathrooms, and fantastic views from the balcony. Perfect climate control throughout, too. The room was highly modern, featuring large SMART TVs with built-in streaming (Netflix/YouTube), which is a massive upgrade over the "dumb" TVs you usually find in older Hiltons. The amenities were equally impressive, including high-quality toothbrushes, toothpaste, and even a proper razor and shaving foam. The slippers also fit me well, which as someone with feet on the larger size I haven’t really found in other Hilton’s. Breakfast was great, with my only minor critique being that peach juice was served instead of orange juice—but if that’s the only negative, they are doing an incredible job. Location-wise, it’s highly convenient. There are lovely bars in a rear courtyard, and it’s a pleasant 20-minute walk to Tirana's central square. There is also an ATM right outside the front doors, which was incredibly useful for getting cash to pay airport taxi drivers. The entire team, from reception to housekeeping, is a credit to the Hilton brand. This stay outperformed flagship Hiltons that cost 5x times the price. Hats off to the management!
