Four Points by Sheraton Catania Hotel & Conference Center

Here's a polished, enthusiastic review: Our stay at Four Points by Sheraton was simply wonderful. The hotel's architecture is absolutely stunning. Its bold Brutalist concrete design gives it a unique character that stands out from typical beach resorts, creating a beautiful blend of style and atmosphere. The beach is fantastic—clean, relaxing, and perfect for spending the day by the sea. But the true gem of this hotel is its people. From the parking attendant who welcomed us with a smile to the lifeguard who made sure we were always safe and well taken care of, every member of the team showed genuine care and professionalism. A special thank you goes to the incredible restaurant team. Adina, Antonela, Federica, and Cristina made every meal a pleasure with their warmth, kindness, and outstanding service. We would also like to thank the wonderful ladies whose names we unfortunately didn't catch—they were equally attentive and welcoming. To everyone at Four Points by Sheraton, thank you for making our stay so memorable. Your hospitality made all the difference, and we look forward to coming back!

A very relaxing hotel with a lovely pool and great sea views. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the room service is remarkably quick. The rooms are spacious and nice, though we did encounter a damp smell which staff tried to fix (with limited success). Breakfast is really good also with plenty of choices, especially sweet items. Good connectivity via Cannizzaro train station for trips to Taormina or central Catania, plus a bus stop right outside the hotel.

We left two days earlier, (spent one night only), because the pool wasn't working and we promised our kid swimming pool. Nevermind that. With flexible rate, we left without having to pay for three days, so that was fair. The thing is that we asked if the pool is working upon booking a room, but the answer never came, so insist on the answer. Now, I have read many mixed reviews of this hotel and yes, in our room some renovation should be done. But it has to be said that, after some examination, it seems that this hotel is probably one of the best one can find in Catania. So, the standardisation in Catania might differ. This is not what you expect when you hear the word Sheraton and 4 star hotel, so one should better read reviews. Other than really mostly outdated room that we had, no mini bar, two bags of instant coffee and one tea, one serviette, the rest was fine. Tasty breakfast, good service, free parking in the hotel garage. Walking outside hotel at night wasn't fun at all, basically because there is not much to see, very narrow sidewalk, barelly for a person and they drive like crazy, one feels endangered. And you will need transportation to the city center. So, my advice is to understand the level of hotel offers in Catania carefully. This hotel might be one of the best choices in town, but I was unpleasently surprised by the room standard. And it wasn't very expensive, 200 €. Weird experience, Catania is big city, not having top quality hotels in the city seems weird and that is exactly how I feel about my experience there. But we left with smile on the face, nothing was insulting, it is just that we were expacting a bit different hotel. Four stars cause I don't want to be nasty, but the most accurate grade in my opinion would be between 3 and 4.
