We stayed at this hotel for about 2 nights in April 2026. We got room 401 and instead of getting a room with a king-size bed, we got two beds pushed together, which is not a great solution in my opinion. The room was decent with neutral colors, wooden flooring, a desk with a complementary bottle of water upon check in, a large TV on the wall and a decent wardrobe. There was light coming in from a window, but the view was just to a courtyard. The bathroom was tiled in sand-stone colors (like many of the buildings in Salamanca) and the shower area was quite good. Breakfast was served in the basement and had a good spread of savory and sweet items. The service in the hotel was good, but the best part is of course the location. Plaza Mayor is basically around the corner and it is easy to walk around the city center from the hotel! All in all, I would not mind staying at this hotel again if I return to Salamanca.
We selected it because of the location. You are 2 minutes walking from the most beautiful 'Plaza Major' of the entire Spain. The room was clean. Only remark: bad insonorisation. You can hear everything from close-by rooms. Breakfast was top. It is a good option for visiting Salamanca.

We enjoyed our time at the Catalonia Salamanca. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was top notch, and the rooms clean and comfortable. The Catalonia location is the best at close proximity to the historic center, restaurants, and shopping. We are looking forward to returning soon and staying at the Catalonia Salamanca.
