Aparthotel Adagio Glasgow Central

Stayed for 3 nights, location was central, room was clean, amenities in the kitchen was great, fridge/freezer was great size, good to have toaster, pots (a frying pan would have been ideal though), cutlery, plates, cups and glasses - everything you could need for a few nights stay. Windows opened for fresh air (if needed) - air con was very efficient, room was spacious and good use of spaces, didn't feel cramped at all.

We arrived at this wonderful, centrally located hotel in Glasgow, after a twenty nine hour journey from Melbourne. What a treat it was to eventually arrive at reception to a warm and welcoming smile to be told our room on the thirteenth floor (1304) was ready and we had been allocated a quiet room overlooking central Glasgow. Our room was perfect for the three nights we were staying. Both comfortable and spacious with all we would need for a comfortable stay. There was a small kitchenette complete with microwave, fridge, hot plate, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom just perfect. Staying over the weekend allowed us to take advantage as diamond members, the complimentary breakfast. The buffet breakfast was exceedingly generous with more than enough choice for every taste, including catering for allergies. My wife being a coeliac was offered an excellent selection of gluten free options, including gluten free bread. Our thanks to Sylwie, who managed so professionally the buffet. She was an absolute delight. Nothing was too much trouble for her. A shining example of Scottish hospitality! We had a lovely stay at this very conveniently located hotel close to the city centre and public transport, A perfect stay in Glasgow with a lovely staff.

Location is excellent, staff were helpful and, if you are travelling alone, or as a couple, the apartments are fine. Maybe also OK with very small children. The apartments are small, but nice enough. I would say they are pretty overpriced for what you get, and not fit for purpose if your children are teenagers. The couch sort of converts to a bed that might be usable for one older child, or two small children at a push. I would actively encourage you to look at alternatives with two bedroom apartments if you actually want something that sleeps 4. There are cheaper alternatives nearby that would be suitable. It’s also a bit of a cheek for them to charge so much extra for the additional children when the only difference it makes to them is some extra towels and bedding to wash. I read reviews that complimented the large bed, which is true, but it completely fills the bedroom with barely room to manoeuvre around it. I’d have preferred a smaller bed and more floor space. Overall-nice enough accommodation that was pretty unsuitable for what we booked it for.
