We stayed here three nights in July. The rooms (superior) were clean and comfortable although the carpet was showing its age. The bed was comfortable and the pillows firm. We had an issue with no electric bedside for a CPAP which the hotel took care of a 04:00 when we checked in. The property was very nice overall and the location is perfect for a walking exploration of Athens. Housekeeping was excellent and Marie got us everything we needed to make our stay better. The shower mat was essential to avoid a slip & fall. Breakfast was better than most. We enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Amalia Hotel in Athens on two occasions. Once at the start of our trip to Greece, and again at the end of our trip. Both times we were able to get a good night's rest. Breakfast service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly, and everything went smoothly. The front desk was even able to give us a few over-the-counter medicines when our own supplies ran low at the end of the trip. I liked the location near Syntagma Square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There's a few kiosks right outside, or across the street, depending on the time of day. Overall, our stay was excellent.
This is my second time staying here. The rooms are nice, the rooftop restaurant is great, and the staff has been very helpful. ... but my favorite part may be the breakfast. As an example, the breakfast buffet includes incredible spanakopita. What better way to start your day than spanakopita, fruit, and coffee??
