3 Nagas Luang Prabang - MGallery by Sofitel

We looked forward to our stay at this property. We also booked the suite but left with quite dissapointment. What we loved: • The location • The drinks at the bar were good. We came back for happy hour the next day What could’ve been better: • The breakfast was very subpar. We were there at 6:30am. There was only 1 waitress taking order from every tables, crossing the street to get to the kitchen and serving the food on her own. She got our orders wrongly as well but she fixed it at the end. She was obviously overwhelmed. We stayed for 2 nights and the menu are the same. The breakfast was not good to our taste, omelette was plain and dry. • The bathroom comes with a tub. But the curtain looks dirty and disgusting. For a 5-star property, I think they should easily change that. The amenities were so underwhelming, it feels like staying in a budget hotel. • The aircon in the room was not cold as well. The position of the aircon was next to our heads, so it blows air the whole time we sleep. • The hotel has no gym/pool, but apparently we can access them at Sofitel. When I asked they said the facilities are closed. No reason given why they are closed. • No one helped us at the check out, the only question we had was if we consumed any minibar. No one asked us about our experiences so we didn’t bother to provide direct feedback. As an Accor Platinum member, I will definitely not recommend this hotel for the bucks that we paid. I passed by Avani+ and it seems like a better alternative.

3 Nagas has all the elements of a wonderful hotel. Most of all the staff… they provided impeccable service. They were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is outstanding. And the heritage/story/architecture of the buildings is beautiful. There is a reason the restaurant rates so highly. Delicious food and nice cocktails. They have the sister hotel; the Sofitel that they can transport you to/from to use the spa and pool. The pool is lovely and has won awards for its design.

Fantastic stay and experience. Everyone made us welcome. They were very attentive and responsive all the time. Discreet but available. Special thanks to Sara for arranging our travel smoothly. And to Unni Krishnan and Mondal for their utmost care and help in providing really yummy vegetarian food and giving us insights on the local life and culture.
