Lunch is eaten at a restaurant 240 metres up a tower on Palm Jumeirah. Through the glass windows, the palm shape of the island, the sea and the city skyline form the backdrop to the table. Food and view meet at the same table.
Allow three hours. Dress smart but comfortable. Sunlight through the glass can be bright, so sunglasses help. On a clear day the view is much sharper. Plan an unhurried pace; the meal and the view are not things to rush.
